I’m a former high school English teacher, so I enjoy working with teenagers on writing. I love hearing their stories and watching the culmination of years of effort come together.
What aspects of essay coaching do you find challenging?
I find the “business” aspects challenging – best way/amount to charge, styles of invoicing, advertising, etc.
What do you hope to gain from participating here?
I hope to learn more about both the pedagogy and business elements that my colleagues around the country are using!
What do you think you can offer other professionals?
I have some solid strategies for pulling writing out of struggling students and for forming quick connections. I’ve also learned a lot of virtual strategies in light of Covid-19.
